Just for fun, I plotted a route from a point just S of N'4' in Camden to a point just N of Pulpit rock. Guess what? It runs over the shoal just N of E Goose Rock! If you miss that, it runs into the N end of Saddle Isl. Of course, I never move the cursor on my plotter to where I want to go and then select 'Go to Cursor' - well, rarely.
Actually, I find myself doing that quite often - but with a degree of confidence that there are no hazards between me and my destination. Perhaps it really is a case of chartplotters making things too easy. Using 'Go to cursor' is much easier than actually plotting a route around the hazards.
