making out with your engine. I must have missed some posts. Did you get another Perkins? I'll tell you that few things are more annoying than a poorly working motor. I think I'd rather have nothing - at least then you know how to plan. I say that as someone who fought an unreliable one for 8 (!!!) years. I can't wait for that new Yanmar to fire up this spring.
I have to agree with Tom that you are a fearless poster! It is amazing how folks can accept so much on faith when it suits them and ignore what they see outside. As for as vested interests lying to them, they should also recall all the studies that saw no corelation between cancer and smoking.
