Pretty much the root cause of every major problem we've got is that there are just too friggin' many of us. That fact is staring us so much in the face that it can't be denied. Yet, virtually no one will admit it. If people would stop having kids that they have no hope of feeding and supporting, most of the world's problem would be far simpler. Instead, it's people's "right" to have as many kids as they can. When this planet was basically empty, "Go forth and multiply" made sense. Now it just makes everything worse. It makes me angry every time I see images of starving kids and remember back 20 years to seeing similar images from the same places around the globe.

Uh, tell me again just how this is at all related to sailing????
