Larry DH and I were debating the Dutchman sail flaking system, which flakes your mainsail for you when the sail drops, but it got me to thinking. How many people without Dutchmans, in-mast furling, or in-boom furling actually flake their sails anyway? I'm not talking about dropping the sail into lazy jacks and tugging on the leach a few times before stuffing it into the sail cover, but actually flake it, like in the pic below?
