My first boat was a Rhodes 19 centerboard.

() I capsized it once when first learning how to sail, planing downwind with a bunch of Lightnings in a regatta. It took a lot of people and a long time to get it upright because it turtled and the centerboard fell into the trunk. After that, I recognized the desirability of a keel, like yours.
