Same system here. No worries 
In Response To: I never leave the cockpit to reef but it's slab reefing. ()
The system just works. Everything to the cockpit and it can't hang up. Only difference in ours is that the only reef is the first one. We have two deep reefs and the first is almost always the only one we need. If it gets really snotty I have to go to the mast to hook the cringle over the hook but then it's back to the comfort of the cockpit to finish the job.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
