Would love to have davits

but it's a lot of extra weight in the ends where we don't want it, and extra windage up high too. We bring the dinghy aboard if we're moving the boat more than about a mile (and wouldn't even consider towing at all unless in calm conditions).

We carry on the nets, with the OB on the stern rail. We have a Forespar lift for the engine, and I use the spinnaker halyard to raise and lower the dink. It's pretty easy if we lift it vertically from the dinghy's bow, and can even be done single-handed (maneuvered in steps). Shown here upright with the drain plug removed, I invert it if I plan to leave the boat for a long period, or if bad weather is predicted.
