I have a 2 stroke 3.5 HP to-hot-to on an 8 foot Portaboat. I can heft the outboard to the aft rail with one (1) hand! The Portaboat can store on our side deck and I can heft it by myself.
And.... with just one person in it, it planes. AND, it rows well.... just ugly...

- Hmmm, I always wondered what my boat would look like
- No Davits for us!

- You'd have to pry my davits away from my cold dead hands
- There it is. Most miles sailed are with the drag of a dinghy in tow.
