it is hard to "sell" UGLY to an artist wife. She makes many of her "practical" decisions based on looks alone. (still don't know how she picked me...)

I recall being out sailing about one day with the admiral, when off in the distance she spied a "pretty boat."
We slowly caught up only to discover it was the same year and model as our boat... she fell in love with our little boat all over again.

I could probably convince her that a 2 part hardshell nesting dinghy that I could only hand row, would be ideal, if it were pretty enough.
