Particularly compared to you Larry! I attached a picture I took of you from the last time we met so that others can see for themselves.
Like I said earlier, if the EMP you worry about ever strikes us, knowing our precise lat/long is the least of our worries. Especially if a NYC EMP hits us down here!
Besides, I don't think those Tea Party people are quite THAT bad, but I do agree that there is a lot of money and an extreme agenda behind them (that was the T word you were avoiding, wasn't it?).
I think the oven/microwave thing is just a urban legend. An oven is a poor Faraday cage because it has large gaps and uneven coverage. A microwave may be better, but only for high frequencies.
We had everything laying out in the open during our strike and all but an iPod was just fine. The iPod was pretty much in a Faraday cage, as it was in a small cupboard surrounded by a lot of grounded metal, not near any electrical lines and far away from all the other stuff laying about. It had a hole burned right through its screen and it was dead. All of our HH devices, computers, displays, phones, etc that were scattered about (and some right next to the mast) were undamaged.
