You don't see too many boats sailing into tight harbors these days.

Especially as tight as Northeast Harbor. Going through some photos, I stumbled on this one. I know the boat(1953 S&S Loki yawl), and the owner(from my harbor, wonderful guy) just enough to know he can sail this boat, very, very well. I remember this shot. He came up to leeward of our boat, August day. When the boat was open to the south breeze on her beam coming into Northeast, she layed over quite a bit(as they will with full sails) and then hardened up and started to accelerate.... I recall there was no greeting waves, and I can see from the faces, all were pretty locked into what was ahead.

This was on the other side of me(this photo taken later after the wind died). The loki rounded the blue boats to my port, and headed back out of the harbor.

What do you think, seamanship or recklessness?
