I've designed Dutchmans for catamarans with huge roaches.

() Roach doesn't make any difference, neither does a backstay. The tabs (pockets) are sewn in above the foot of the sail so they don't lift it. You need to rig a topping lift to attach the upper clamps that hold the mono.
The only sails a Dutchman won't work on are gaff rigged sails.
