Seamanship. A bunch of us chartered a few old 12 meters in Newport years ago...

() and at the end, the skippers took over from us charterers and did what they called a "harbor burn", flying through the mooring field under sail. Those old 12 meters may be slow compared to modern boats, but they still sailed fast and handled like a sports car.

- Absolutely true, plus Northeast Harbor is VERY tight inside
- But then couldn't there also be that "one in X times" that the motor died?
