In Response To: I didn't mean to compare tiller pilots with windvanes ()
() I have mounted a TP to the vane for when we have to motor. Just sits on the pushpit and moves the sail on the vane back and forth using almost no energy. The wheel autopilot is the backup to the backup.

- A recent change: autopilots have gotten a LOT better at steering in the last 10 years...
