I'd be interested in your findings re: apparent wind and true wind angle. My experience is that with high speed boats, you get small apparent wind angles but large true wind angles. But even with the large true wind angles, the speed toward the weather mark can approach and exceed the actual wind speed.

- A recent change: autopilots have gotten a LOT better at steering in the last 10 years...
