Parts and tech was so frustrating I finally went with Simrad, even on my own boat. I mainly worked on tiller-pilots but did do some work on the others as well. Simrad is no cakewalk either these days but still far better than Raymaring imho. A guy with any electronics experience is probably better off tearing into them himself ...90% of the time it will be a simple fix.
