It was posted under my post that made the point that there are many boats who simply can't use windvanes for various reasons. Even the windvane companies do not dispute this. I did not address stability or suitability of boats for long distance cruising in any way. I think all seaworthy boats (meaning ones that have safe hose clamps and non-rotted structures) are suitable for cruising. My spectrum of boats good for round the world is much larger than most who post here.

Again, my mind twists on your logic of bringing to the discussion a single anecdote about someone who didn't like their boat. It seems a non-sequitur to me.
