No, nothing so dramatic. We had left

San Diego heading for Cabo San Lucas in February on our way to the Canal. There was a front coming and I thought it would give us a good push to get us out of the cold sooner but it turned into one of those "Bell ringer" winter storms that brought some really high surf to the coast. I got pushed way off shore trying to keep a good angle on the seas and ended up out by Guadalupe Island where they were really huge. We made it from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas in 6 days which for that boat was almost unheard of. As for "Somewhere cold", I don't know where the picture was taken. It might have been off of San Franscisco. Anything less then 78 degrees is cold to me now although not so much back then.
