() NOT YOURS or any one else. FOR OUR Nor'Sea. Without a second thought, I would purchase the same wind vane over any type of autopilot.
I do not have the on board real estate on deck, or below deck for more solar panels or care to carry a generator that it would take to run it when off shore.
**** FOR ME/US the savings in the cost of equipment to generate the power required is a tradeoff I do not chose to make. ****
**** FOR ME/US the positive reliability of the vane combined with the ease of repair, if required, makes it my choice ****

- A recent change: autopilots have gotten a LOT better at steering in the last 10 years...
