I do route planning on my laptop.
In Response To: Survey - who does route planning on their GPS as opposed to just using it for tracking position ()
I like Maptech's Offshore Navigator (with input form Visual Passage Planner) to do my route planning, then transfer it to my chart plotter for the actual passage. I haven't figured out how to integrate the system into my Monitor wind vane

- What's a GPS? All I need is a stick and a piece of string to do my navigating. '-)
- I use paper charts, verify position with GPS, and mark 1 eyeballs
