Outside of weight, the only other thing I can say about nylon, it's fast.

I don't usually need the windlass for the nylon. But when I went into a rapid drag last season on Jewel Island near Portland, I had to pull it all up by hand as I was closing on shore quickly. It was all on deck in a minute or so. Maybe if I had all chain, and a Rocna, I wouldn't have dragged.
