I usually try to anchor in about 5-20' of water (prefer 7-15). This allows me to have mostly (or all) chain out. Using 20 kilo Canada-made Rocna and carry a Fortress FX22 as secondary with its own rode and 10' chain in a heavy polyester mesh rode bag for hand deployment.
I carry two 20-foot bridles that have strong Wichard spring snap hooks on both ends (each rated about 2,000 kilo SWL). Each bridle attaches to a stainless U-bolt at the outboard end of the forward cross-beams (image below shows bridle) and at the anchor line I snap them to a short dyneema loop in a Prussic knot around the rode. The Prussic knot is easily moved (it easily loosens with tension removed) or attached/removed. I also use the bridle on guest moorings and attach a snubber on the primary pennants if more length is needed to allow the bridle to take up the primary load. Also, the bridles have floats every 2-3 feet or so they don't wrap under a mooring chain. These floats are just closed-cell foam split pipe insulation from Home Depot, either taped or tie-wrapped on.
