On my little boat I can almost always find a little "corner" to tuck into. And my 4 foot draft gives me some advantages there too. Imagine Catalina on Labor Day weekend... and anchoring inside at Long Point. Yup, I've done it. (although I normally avoid sailing on any holiday just because of the "once a year folks...")

But I do like the idea of "almost all chain;" it just lays down so well on sandy bottoms, like Santa Barbara.
