Christmas has it's first sound system.

A Bose SoundlinkMini. I don't want to run wires for a radio, install speakers, radio-, or add another load on our limited electrical storage. These new blue tooth speaker systems look like the solution. The sound is surprisingly good with plenty of bass and clarity.

Cool ideas for boats;

Music; already on a device or two onboard. But we'll build a library for the boat on ipad and phones. The public stations we listen to are both available online when we're in range of G3(We've never run over on our data). Also books, podcasts, might be fun? With no sound onboard for 15 years, I doubt we'll be heavy users.

Power; The 120V chargers input is .25 amp. We'll need a 12volt charge. The charging load is small. I like devices with separate batteries so that you can charge them(ideally) while under power. I enjoy the feeling of not needing to charge for a few days at anchor. These are supposed to run for 8 hours.

Size; The best part! The size of a can of soup and only slightly heavier. Wireless to use anywhere, saloon, veeberth, cockpit, and you can just stuff it in your camera bag for an overnight, or weeks.

More of our sailboat gizmos are portable and the boat is slimming down for it.
