Right now, incadescents rule the world. And in fact the US is one of the few countries that have been phasing out incadescent bulbs-by law, the last few years(you should see the dismal availabilty in US stores of incadescents).

That's good because we have a huge derth of the worlds bulbs burning.

I never saw a single LED bulb in Rome, and few elsewhere in Italy.
