for cruising I don't think going electric drive would work. I can just see to many times I want more range than I could get without our diesel.
I am looking at a C-Head. Doing my research on how it might work. I do know a couple of users that seem to like it. If we do go that way, I could add at least one more 105 Ah battery, AND that means an ice maker! 
to use our water maker water.
