That's a good solution
In Response To: Christmas has it's first sound system. ()
My Bro-in-law bought one of those and the sound is quite good. If my boat wasn't already wired I'd take that approach. The car stereo receiver mounted in my boat's panel draws quite a lot of 12v power and puts out a lot also, but it was designed for a vehicle that has its engine running-- definitely not designed for power economy.
