Have moved to new living quarters - an in-law apartment attached to an expanded cape. Our son and wife will be moving into the main house when they sell their place (or walk out?) but until then it's all on our tab. But we're moving into the apartment - so far the only thing that's not done is the kitchen. New cabinets came in Monday and they also did the template for the countertop. That should be in in another week, then the tile guy will do the backsplash. I figure we can move the kitchen from the main house to the apartment when the new countertop and sink are in place.
Have gone totally LED in the apartment - only exception is a 3-way wall fixture that's still CFL (hate it, but no LED alternative). In addition to the instant on aspect, I like the ability to select your color temperature for the bulbs. We find the 2700K stuff to be too yellow and the 5000K stuff to be too blue. We seem happy with the LEDs between 3000K and 4000K. They're expensive, but if they give the promised life I'll be very happy.
