I think you may have missed that Tom.

Throughout the Caribe, Central and South America, we have yet to see a single incandescent bulb in the 6 years we have been here. Mostly fluorescent is used, but in the past couple of years LED's are becoming huge. Even going into a hardware or electrical store in a big city like Panama City, you will find rows of fluorescent and LED bulbs and fixtures - the only incandescent ones to be found are a small section of track spotlights, and that section gets smaller each time I go.

I haven't been to Europe in over six years, but when I did do work there, they were very big on fluorescent and phasing out incandescent back then.

It's good to see the USA finally join in!
