No west coast exp. but I once shipped my 28'er up the east coast.

That was by far the cheapest, fastest trip we made out of 4.
Our 28 was able to go with another boat. And we allowed time for the
Trucker to arrange a return load. 20 years ago, cost 1200 from West
Palm to Vermont.
Unless you want to do the trip, you'll save a lot of money shipping.
Next trip, I had a friend take it down. One breakdown repair cost
More than shipping!
