you are not holding the dice. I was fortunate at age 70 to still be able to be a part of a double handed crew in the 2014 Newport-Bermuda Race on a 44 footer. And I was the foredeck/bowman! But I know it can all change in a day. Even in the 6 months since the race, I can see a difference. Body parts hurt that didn't before. I like to think that I can cruise for years to come, but doublehanded ocean racing is likely over. Yet I am thankful for what I am able to do and the support of loved ones.
