A big price to pay.

I was taking an infusion of bone density drugs once a year for the past 5 years. Last time,,,, one week after taking the infusion (recalast) my neck started to hurt really bad. That was more than 12 months ago and it still hurts so bad it's had an effect on my life. I saw the oncologist last week and told him 'I won't take the infusion anymore'. He says I should but I just won't do it. Instead I'm doing weight bearing exercises, taking vitimine D and stopped all activities that give me a good chance of falling and breaking something. (damn, that includes sailing)

Growing old sucks but taking all these drugs isn't the right path to take.

One thing most people don't realize is that many drugs have studies taken on women. I'm not against women but men are different animals. Recent studies are finding that what works on a female may not work on a male in the same way, especially drugs for osteoporosis.

Last note,,,,, we're thinking about getting another boat. Smaller yes but we have those islands out there to explore.

We both want to go.

I just might ask you for that information. Just floating around at the moment with no direction.
