As much as I think it would be a great adventure it will also suck. Took my Freeport 36 from Ventura to San Francisco and hit a gale off Big Sur working our way up. No fun at all. The biggest thing to me was that it beat the boat up big time. That was 15 years ago when I was 55. I was OK but the boat worked harder than it had since new. The headache, fuel, time, wear & tear on the boat was quite a bit. Now at 69 you couldn't force me to take it there.

I say ship it.
