Cruising Sailors Forum Archive

No I didn't, but I was thinking about what your said,...

about it. Time gets pretty precious on a two week cruise so we hit a few new spots and didn't go far. Winds were fierce much of the time. I think Cape sailors deserve the purple heart of coastal sailing. If the wind doesn't get you, the currents will. Boats seemed thinned out for sure. Some locals said Irene really threw a wrench in some businesses on shore.

We moved down from Menemsha and skipped Poge bay, as the winds were perfect for Edgartown. Things were quiet.

We actually had a mooring to ourselves one night in Menemsha(there's only two inside the little basin). Second night we did have another boat rafted.

Weather was wet for some of the first week and then it got very nice. We did a lot of swimming and just relaxed. I'll bore everyone with some photos and what was going on soon.

Sorry we missed you too. Mary Ann always asks about you.
