THANK you for serving.
I find the same thing true.
And a note. The FIRST time some one said that, "thank you for your service", to me was about 6 months ago. I almost broke out in tears. Did NOT expect that!!!! I never asked for it, and to tell the truth, never thought about it much, until I heard it.
And yes, the men and women serving now ARE impressive. When Jill and I were on our way home, at LAX, a guy was sitting next to us in the waiting area. He looked very much like the actor, "the rock" and very well kept. Jill struck up a few words with him and it turned out he was in the Army (in civies) on his way to his next base. When we talked about where we were coming from and Jill mentioned I had been there, he stood and shook my hand and said the words. ONCE MORE, a tear. You are now the 3ed person.
Times sure have changed, I AM GLAD!! We can support our troops, no matter what we feel the Gov. is doing.
Now back to setting sail!!!!!!.............
