We saw a few boats under construction. It was amazing. I asked and found out a fully built Dhow type, teak boat, about 50 or 60 foot long, including the diesel (and not much else) is selling for US $20,000.00. I WAS tempted! But the shipping would kill you and it would only be good on a lake or big river.

We also got a short class/lecture on Teak. We thought we wanted what we knew as “old growth” teak. We found out that what we actually lusted for was a type of “water teak”. It was a very educational lecture. When I dig up the photo of the boats under construction like yours ,(I took about 1,600) I will post it. I also took about 11.5 hours of video.
