If you can hook up to the grid it's almost always $$$$$ cheaper in long/medium and short run
Off the grid would be my last resort.
But hey, if Dave wants to do it fine.

- I do if I wanted to spend the money to connect to it.
- Buy a backhoe and use it to put in underground wiring
- You know that you can "sell" your power back to the 'grid' and use it as a "back-up".
