Haven't looked into satellite for a long time
In Response To: No cell service, no DSL, no cable. No nothing.

() But last time I checked it still needed a landline for the slow uplink. (download handled by fast satellite, uploads handled by modem). The satellite dish for homes is receive-only half of the half-duplex connection.
