Thank you for your service

We should condemn our government if we disagree with their policies...
I've stopped meat and fish
Everything in moderation...
Do yourself a service
food.....and food for thought...
Will check it out
Yeah. I can't watch the vid. I had Maine scallops the other night,...
What the heck, though, is a plant based meal?
At least you live in a part of the world where you can get decent salmon
Friends don't let their friends each farm raised salmon.
The best aquaculture success looks like mussels.
I had my first mussels in Cherbourg, Franc . . yum!
We're a little slow to pick up food over here.
Tenants Harbor
Yeah, I am a little rusty on my salmon nomenclature...
I've lived in the PNW for about that long
Remember Moderation is fine as long as you don't take it too far.
My problems started when my parents died.
When my parents died, the wall between me and my own mortality was now gone.
3-31-45
3-31-41 - and not slowed a whole lot. But I sure understand
OOPs- 1-31-41!!!
Uh huh. First thing to go......can't remember the second thing to go....
uh- what?
It does suck being the patriarch of the family
OMG..I just realized I am the family's partriarch too!!!
Larry, can't argue with what you do. My observation and reading suggest...
hehehhe, quite so, quite so....
Dude!! ya got a sale here.
Fantastic Ron! How about a sailing book now?
I don't know enough about sailing to write book - I haven't even updated our blog in over a year
Fantastic Ron. I bought one too.
Well damn- just realized that your other book
Yes, that one's out of print now - though one did show up ...
Refit....
...yep, I'm pulling mine with an old Dodge Cummins I rebuilt - I hate Dodges, but I love Cummins.
That's what we got.
I put an 80 gallon aux. tank on the back, giving me about 105 gallons total diesel ...
Clamber over the side or....tall ladder?
I hope it's clamber, make you da man!
We have a tall step ladder chained to the trailer...
GREAT Idea
that's quite a trailer-sailor
Yeah, trailer sailing on Ron and Gregs level looks like a hobby for truckers to me.
Not sure I can say
Lol, yes, it's pushing the envelope some...
These are great Greg. This one, amazing.
Another
Dawn over Angor Wat
Amazing place, eh?
We did lust after that Teak!!!
A bird with a lizard sitting on his shoulder
Pam and her mom surveying our new home...
The dogs look confused Dave
Actually, they're exhausted. What you don't see is Olivia, the German Shorthair Pointer.
New adventure
LOL! Yeah, you're right.
Nice shearline on that roof Dave.
Looks lke it hs good ventilation
That dozer might come in handy soon
Naw. The engine is seized.
You finally put that dog in some proper bird cover Dave.
I guess maybe I have a short attention span.
Maybe you finally found "cruising" Dave. It was under your nose all the time.
variety is the spice of life...
Just like Drift Away, ten acres of land fell in our lap.
Are you going to use low voltage DC?
I'm planning on a combination of 12v and 110v.
you've got the wrong lattitude
Ooops. That's what happens when I post while watching the Giants/Ravens.
Thought it was gonna be way more exciting than previously thought.
LOL! Where's the "like" button?
Any thoughts on a composting toilet so you can forego some septic costs?
You might want to put in a couple of rain barrels
My bro in law has 28,000 gallons rainwater in tanks at the end of winter.
Dave. 1/4 mile for hydro connection will cost 1/8th the amount alternative sourced supply and usage.
How did you conclude that?
Merry Christmas. Hydro = electric company. 10 poles for 1/4 mile @ $1.2K ea. as opposed to 20 x solar/wind /river gen
Do you have an electrical grid to connect with?
I do if I wanted to spend the money to connect to it.
Buy a backhoe and use it to put in underground wiring
Got a backhoe. And a dump truck.
Do you need an engineered septice design there Dave?
The population of Bleecker is a tad over 500 people.
Your regs look typical, you should get started asap on permits.
...oh, well, then I would forget the septic and just run it out on the ground.
Most places require power in a concrete encased duct bank if it's underground.
You know that you can "sell" your power back to the 'grid' and use it as a "back-up".
Selling back to the grid means we are with out power
It's simple...
We would still have to spend several thousands of dollars to even be connected to them
Do you have cell service there?
No cell service, no DSL, no cable. No nothing.
Haven't looked into satellite for a long time
Nope, not anymore.
Dish
Pamela, when I ran power to the ranch it was about a quarter of a mile as well...
I've seen tanks as big as 4000 gallons..BIL has seven of them.
Refrigeration
'tis the nature of pointers and spaniels
Sounds fun! Here's something to consider for heating....
Sex and Ft Lauderdale motoryacht culture.
I'd love to see the stability numbers on the EP!
Yeah looks a little top heavy
When they come in, some of those ships tower over the high rise hotels along the inlet.
That's a beautiful spot...
I think it is the Ft Lauderdale Hilton now?
Yeah, I lived there in the 70's...
When I was in the Delta in '68 Fish farming had a certain ecological elegance...
The huts with the small shacks.....
