Why have one?

Really......I think the last time I actually used my compass was...let's see. I don't really know how long ago it was but I do remember it was out of curiosity more than anything else. Besides, I have an electronic compass courtesy of my iphone for that emergency situation where my GPS goes down. Let's see, it my many years of usage, that's happened, uhhhh, NEVER.

My compass needs replacing and I'm seriously thinking of reusing that hole for something else rather than a replacement compass.
