() Even though our electronic compass updates itself 20 times each second, so has no lag at all, it is still too "flat" for me. I come closest using the instrument display that shows a compass "tape" with adjacent bearings for 90* or so, but still prefer the mechanical one.
Besides, I don't think the space it occupies can really be used for any else reasonable. Maybe a supergulp holder?
