(sigh)ok, let's go back 30 years in navigational tech, and save this boat with paper charts. 
While we're back here in 30 year old tech. time, how many shipwrecks in this era alone, could we save with today's navigational technology?
Your guys were guilty of CG #1, #2, and perhaps(inexperience) #3(I assume they are not guilty of #5 as they must have had a blood alchohol test?)

- Electronic navigation has surely drawn in more people who cannot be bothered with learning navigation though.

- I'll be looking for better integration of satelite image on chartware.
