I can't imagine using two anchors often enough as a coastal sailor to justify setting up another on the bow(cruising, I might feel differently).

The weight is my main reason. The bow is an especially good place to remove weight on a sailboat.

I keep a 35lb HT Danforth-forward in the bottom of a cockpit locker along with it's chain and rode. I use it once maybe, every couple years.
