The one thing you would learn going down the east coast to the Bahamas, is how to anchor. We bought 3 anchors along the way, learned what worked and what didn't. It still amazes me how little most coastal sailors(and lake sailors like us at the time) know about anchoring. The type of anchor you buy, won't save you. I've watched Rocna's drag in 10 knots in protected-Cuttyhunk Pond.
Few of us were dragging back then in the Bahamas as I recall, but that was more due to experience than type of anchor. Anchors get a little better all the time, people still brag about theirs(on forums instead of the VHF). The more things change,....
