I'll again be using paper with a GPS ... I have no interest in having a laptop or any other form of serious computing power on board. My first trip to the Bahamas 1990 was DR all the way, only had knot/depthsounder and compass. In 2000, I had a pair of Garmin GPS, 12 and a 12XL. I spent hours keying in waypoints on the XL. In the middle of the bank the unit beeped and the message "stored data lost" or something to that effect displayed. Back to good ol' DR (of course was doing it anyway) ... I've always loved maps and charts and to me it seem like part of the ritual.
