Jon, What's unbelievable is a conversation I had

with Dan on "Tropical Dance". There is this couple doing the Baja HaHa this year that Denny and I kind of know from our old yacht club. They are experienced racers but mostly compete in the round arounds on weekends and Wednesday night Beer Cans. They decided to do the HaHa this year and Dan had to teach them how to use a GPS and plot a position. The GPS they had only gave a position and had no features like track and such from what I understand. They couldn't even plot Lat/Lon which was the bad part. We ran into them at the HaHa party and ask them about the anchor equipment they had on board and she said she "didn't know, they had never used it". OBTW, he was one step from being comatose the afternoon prior to the start of the 800 mile "race". I was afraid to ask if they plan on going past Cabo. It's a Beneteau in the 36 to 40 foot range so anyone in Mexico, watch out for them. I mean that both ways. Watch out for them and look out for them. They seem to be nice people but I'm afraid just a bit in over their heads I think maybe their judgement skills might need a little work also... :-)
