I'm with you. Like I said in an older post, if we are making ANY passage out of sight of land we first use our Yeoman plotter (paper chart with GPS connection) to plot every half hour. Then our small low cost, LOW power draw chart plotter. Then, tucked away in a dry sack below is our PC with the free charting program and charts on it.
