It's simply the most convenient place to keep it, and the idea of putting in a 'box' than can be accessed by folding up only a part of the nav station would be even better, since I had the idea of Velcor on the table, or mounting the computer there...clutter. Besides, there's paper charts on top of the table!

I do know have C-Map and Max-Sea on the laptop thanks to a little gift from Austria...Osterreich ;-) Maybe will actually be used for navigation one day, who knows.
