The little LED indicator lights are a nice upgrade but the battery monitor is a huge improvement. I'm finding the amperage meter very useful. The current draw from most of the devices aboard was about what I was expecting but there were a couple surprises. The propane shutoff solenoid, for example, uses 1.5 amps, IIRC but the LED anchor light uses less than .5 amps. I picked up a basic kit of labels from Blue Seas at Hamilton Marine. I still need to get in touch with Blue Seas about purchasing some of the less common ones. The masking tape labels in the photo have been replaced with something close from the kit. The jury is still out on the state of charge indicator on this unit. It's interesting but I have questions about what it's really telling me. Tidying up, labeling and replacing a bunch of the original wiring is a major and long overdue upgrade. I'll finish up that project this spring.
