You'd need a huge array to equalize a house bank with solar cells, Ron? You'd need a lot of Amps at 15 volts. That's a lot of watts. I would think that eventually you could fully charge the batteries, but equalizing?

Lead acid batteries wouldn't like it any more. I think they'd like it less. The big advantage is that they should cost less to replace. However, a set of Surrettes deep cycle batteries isn't that less expensive, is it?
